I canโt wait to tell you about my new friend, Bessie! Sheโs a lovey ๐, sheโs a crib draper ๐๏ธ, sheโs a toy ๐งธ, sheโs a security blanket ๐โฆ she does it all! This pattern will help you learn to create this impressive baby blanket ๐ถ using corner to corner (C2C) crochet ๐งถ and amigurumi!
Never done C2C or amigurumi before? No problem! โ This pattern contains helpful tutorials ๐, step-by-step, row-by-row written instructions โ๏ธ, and plenty of pictures ๐ธ. Not to mention, each one of my patterns comes with unlimited customer service from yours truly (me) ๐.
Now back to Bessieโฆ ๐ฎ Sheโs about 15 inches (40 cm) wide, with an oversized head ๐, ears ๐, horns ๐ฆ, and a cute little fluffy tail ๐. If you flip through the photos, youโll see Bessie in her two configuration options: a traditional lovey ๐ and what Iโm calling a โcrib draperโ ๐๏ธ. Both styles depend on where you seam her little arms and head ๐งต, and both configurations are clearly spelled out in the pattern so you can choose the one that your baby recipient ๐ถ will like best!
For this pattern, youโll need:
๐งถ 360 yards / 330 meters of a heavy worsted/aran weight yarn (like Caron One Pound or Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran)
๐ชก 5mm & 4mm crochet hooks (5mm for the blanket, 4mm for the cowโs head, feet, and other components)
